Trying out the sweetheart table here at home today.
For the larger arrangements, we put floral foam in a glass square vase, then added white rock around the sides, then added the faux florals, then topped the vase off with more white rocks. For the smaller vases, we filled them with salt and added the faux florals. We are loving how it's turning out!!

My daughter is getting married in a few weeks and we're almost done with the flowers!
We decided to go faux so we could get them done way in advance. We found some great ones that look super real and also added some real twigs and sticks to make them feel more organic and natural. I love how they turned out!

Sometimes you just have to sacrifice for the landscape.

So happy that plants are finally going in!

Quick coffee table refresh!
Started with my favorite Italy coffee table book by Gray Malin for the base,
then added a textural vase with faux flowers (that look and feel so real...real touch for the win!),
then added a couple of candles.
It's so easy to change things up to add little glimmers of joy throughout the day!

Charlie turned nine and I am not okay that we are entering his senior years. :(

Placing stepping stones from our back patio door to the small grass area.
I think I like this sparse and simple look (which also makes it less expensive than a full flagstone path)! Yay for less money out the door!

This small, but mighty hobby room works so overtime for me!
Painting, journaling, crafts, flower arranging, photography edits, music edits, songwriting and recording...
Now I just have to figure out how to keep the closet clean (which I will not be showing at this time). :o)

Landscaping progress - August 7, 2026
Landscaper dug holes for the plants yesterday, but will be out of town for a couple of weeks, so now we wait. :o)

I got saved by the beauty of the world. - Mary Oliver
A little glimmer of light through the trees. A soft, furry dog that looks like he’s smiling (people say dogs don’t smile. I disagree). A trickle or water running through a field. A kind word from a stranger. The soft and subtle shades of pink that light up the night sky. Somehow, despite all of its heartbreak, I am always saved by the beauty of the world.

Trying to decide between the weeping cherry tree or a japanese maple. I think the cherry tree has spoken.
